Columbia Tusculum

Columbia Tusculum is Cincinnati’s oldest neighborhood, founded in 1788. It is located along the Ohio River and just under five miles from downtown. Its hilly terrain with enviable views of the river, plus convenient location, makes Columbia Tusculum an ideal place to live. The real estate is unique for two reasons, being one of the only areas with active development, while also containing beautiful and historic painted ladies. Columbia Tusculum is a sliver of a neighborhood, with homes stacked along the roads leading up the hills. Mostly small, manicured yards make this area ideal for young professionals, empty nesters or newly weds.

Columbia Tusculum is also home to quite a few non-chain bars and restaurants, the most notable being Jeff Ruby’s first restaurant, The Precinct. At The Precinct you will find locals, tourists, and the occasional celebrities flock for some of the best steak in the country as well as the turn of the century ambiance.
